- It is possible to upgrade (the Kit costs about 85UKP). However, whilst 3.1
- is better than 2.1 I don't think it should be your No 1 priority : getting
- rid of that 68000 should be. If you can afford it go for an 040 card with
- at least 4 MB of 32-bit RAM. If you've got lots of dosh get an '060.

- The '93 A1200 shipped with OS3.0, not 3.1. The main differences between 2.1
- and 3.1 include :

- * support for 256 colour Intuition screens (requires a gfx card for the

- * support for datatypes (which are required for AMosaic, IBrowse etc).
