  24. It is possible to upgrade (the Kit costs about 85UKP). However, whilst 3.1
  25. is better than 2.1 I don't think it should be your No 1 priority : getting
  26. rid of that 68000 should be. If you can afford it go for an 040 card with 
  27. at least 4 MB of 32-bit RAM. If you've got lots of dosh get an '060.

  32. The '93 A1200 shipped with OS3.0, not 3.1. The main differences between 2.1
  33. and 3.1 include :

  36. * re-writes of graphics and layers libraries to increase speed
  37. * support for 256 colour Intuition screens (requires a gfx card for the
  38.   A2000)
  39. * support for datatypes (which are required for AMosaic, IBrowse etc).
  40. * CD filesystem
  41. * DCFS filesystem
